On March 25, 2006, the life of  Janet's son, Marquis, was violently and tragically ended by  an attempted robbery.  She found herself in a tailspin that she did not have the power to  stop; and the GRIEF and pain was beyond her understanding.  With the support of family and friends, she faced the challenge to live through unbearable grief.

aS jANET JOURNEYED THROUGH her HEALING experience..she found strength and comfort in knowing...THAT AT THE TIME OF mARQUIS' DEATH HE did NOT die ALONE,but in the arms of his sister, jamirah, who HELD HIM AS HE DREW HIS LAST BREATH.

JAMIRAH, held her brother until he took his last breath...

Mia - Janet's Youngest daughter

Tarae - Janet's Granddaughter

Accepting her grief allowed her "broken heart" to heal; and through the healing  process a  passion began to develop in her spirit and out of that passion POMCGSG was born and it became Janet's desire to offer  a "Heart Safe" opportunity that would provide healing and hope to  Parents and families, living with the grief of their son or daughter being violently murdered.  Janet knows the importance of LISTENING to others with an open Ear, open Mind and Compassionate Heart!
